Meet Moya Mzuri Pambeli, an inspiring debut author hailing from Los Angeles and Richmond California, with roots in Africa .  Moya as a writer refined her craft during high school and college, particularly focusing on political writing, women’s history, and economics, notably through her involvement with the AAPRP (All-African People’s Revolutionary Party). In her literary endeavors, Moya delves into profound themes, intertwining narratives that honor African/black women’s history, African spirituality, culture, and Pan Africanism. Drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Maya Angelou, Chinua Achebe and others, she embarks on explorations both familiar and controversial, transcending conventional boundaries. Fueling her writing process are deep conversations, personal experiences, and a profound connection to her heritage. Survival is Moya’s debut book recounting her and  her colleagues in- depth conversations with Bob Marley. The conversation delved into the intersection of Music, politics and the African Revolution and Bob's surprising response in the album Survival.
